Claudia Duck Tucker is the Vice President of Government Affairs at Teladoc Health, the global leader in virtual care She is a nationally recognized policy expert on telemedicine. She is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive government affairs strategy to ensure that access, quality, and affordability of telemedicine is maintained at both the state and federal levels. Her portfolio also includes managing external affairs as it relates to positioning Teladoc Health as a resource to policymakers and regulators nationwide. Prior to joining Teladoc, she was the Regional Director for America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) covering the Southeast. In this role, she worked with health plans and legislators on a wide array of issues including ACA implementation, pharmacy, and telehealth issues, and policy surrounding Managed Medicaid. From 2003-2012, she was the Senior Director of State Government Affairs and Public Policy for Medco Health Solutions with a sixteen state territory. Claudia started her career in Government Affairs after serving as Chief of Staff to the Virginia Speaker of the House. Prior to that, she was Manager of Domestic and International Distribution for Philip Morris, Inc.
Claudia is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and lives in Amherst County, Virginia where she is entering her third term as a local elected official and serves as Chair of the Amherst County Board of Supervisors. She is also Chair of the Policy Council of the American Telemedicine Association, is on the Board of the Texas Association of Business and a Board member of the Mississippi Telehealth Council. When not traveling, she enjoys life with her husband at Forest Hill, a seventh generation family farm.
