About this talk

A brief history of telemedicine in Brazil up to the start of the pandemic will be discussed, as well as exponential growth, driven not only by the pandemic itself, but also by the release of direct teleconsultation to the patient by federal law. This talk will also cover the multiple solutions implemented to adapt to record highs in daily demand (which increased by 2500%) such as increasing the number of doctors trained. Finally, we will review the results and what is expected to be the future of telemedicine in Brazilian territory.

Key Takeaways

  2. Review unique characteristics of the prescription of medicants in Brazil and the need to build a system that meets the legal requirement.
  3. Learn why Brazil has multiple opportunities for telehealth, a rapidly expanding market for both technology companies and the telemedicine platform, as well as healthcare services.
